Archie Manning 90th Anniversary Pro Football (2010). “He Is The Greatest NFL Guarterback Who Never Played On A Winning Team.”  Coming Off Two All-Southeast Conference Honors, Archie Was The Second Man Drafted In 1971, Going To The Woeful New Orleans Saints.  He Had Also Been Drafted By The Atlanta Braves, Chicago White Sox, And Kansas City Royals, So His Athleticism Had Been Good Enough For Football Or Baseball, But He Chose Football.  In His Nine Years As The Saints’ Quarterback, They Eended Only One Season At .500, But During Those Years, Manning Went To The Pro Bowl Twice, Led The NFC In Passing Completions And Yardage In 1972, And Was Named All-NFC in 1978.  He Went From One Losing Team To Two Others, The Houston Oilers And Minnesota Vikings Before Hanging It Up, And In 1989 Was Elected To The College Football Hall of Fame.  Be Sure To Check Out His Son's Super Bowl 2007 (Peyton), 2008 (Eli), 2010 (Peyton), 2012 (Eli) And 2014 (Peyton) And Peyton's Passing And Touchdown Records.
