HOW TO PURCHASE GATEWAY COMMEMORATIVES?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Money Orders, Cashiers Checks, and Personal Checks. PLEASE NOTE: If you send a personal check your order will be held for 10 days from the day we receive your order to give the check time to clear the bank. Please be sure when you use credit cards that you enter the correct card number and expiration date.

WHAT ARE FULL-COLOR SILK CACHETS?

To become acquainted with Gateway, every customer must understand the words, "full-color silk cachet." The dictionary defines the word "cachet" as a message or design on an envelope marking a postal event. In our case, "full-color silk" refers to the very delicate material into which the very finest in original art and action photography are printed, bringing to life the whole purpose of the envelope. Once printed, each silk is applied BY HAND very carefully and lovingly. More information can be found in "OUR STORY".

WHY POSTMARKS?

The key to EVERY Gateway project is the postmark. As avid stamp collectors, we can tell anyone THE BEST WAY TO MARK A DATE IN HISTORY IS WITH A POSTMARK. Not only are postmarks the most official means of dating a Gateway envelope, the rules governing the granting of postmarks GUARANTEE that NO Gateway issue can EVER be reproduced, reprinted, or re-issued in any way. In some emergency cases, we have used Pitney Bowes cancellations for dating purposes. More information can be found in "OUR STORY".

WHAT ABOUT PRICES AND VALUES?

Gateway is a RARE BREED. Our first and most important goal has been the preservation of history over the years. We introduce every new product at moderate introductory prices to enable our dedicated customers to afford not just ONE but EVERY Gateway commemorative, thus creating a long and fabulous collection of personally autographed records of the last twenty-four years' most important sporting events. We love to see our $30.00 products eventually rise in value to hundreds of dollars IN THE HANDS OF OUR CUSTOMERS. Once an original issue of 500 - 1,500 sells out, we have NO CONTROL over the secondary market. Most of our Sold-Out issues have HAPPY HOMES. CERTIFICATES OF AUTHENTICITY

Gateway Stamp provides Certificates of Authenticity for all autographed items. Gateway's reputation for providing authentic autographs over the last 30 years is the best in the industry. We have an uncompromising policy here: "IF FOR ANY REASON A CELEBRITY IS UNWILLING OR UNABLE TO PERSONALLY AUTOGRAPH OUR ENVELOPES, WE WANT NOTHING ON THEM AT ALL."

HOW TO USE THE SHOPPING CART

Browse through the different pages of products. When you find a Commemorative or item you want to purchase, enter the quantity and press the "add item" button. You WILL NOT see the SHOPPING CART, only a quick note stating "ITEM ADDED" and then "If your browser does not support JAVA SCRIPT, please press BACK now. Once the item is added you will be taken back to the page you ordered from. To see the items in your shopping cart click the "VIEW CART" button at the top of the page. To delete any item from your shopping cart, enter 0 in the quantity box for that item and click the re-calculate button at the bottom of the page. You will then see the item removed and a new total for the remaining items. When you are ready to purchase your order click on the "Check Out" button at the top of the page. If you live in Missouri, be sure to select the appropriate tax. Add appropriate shipping amount. Recalculate your order. If everything is correct you are now ready to purchase your order.

PROBLEMS WITH SHOPPING CART

Some browsers have problems handling forms or SSL. If you are having a problem using our shopping cart please feel free to use the following options to place your order:

ORDER CONFIRMATION

You will receive an order confirmation via E-mail when you have completed your order. You MUST enter your E-mail address correctly in order to receive this confirmation. The confirmation DOES NOT guarantee the item you ordered; it only serves to let you know that your order was sent and received by Gateway Stamp. You will receive a seperate E-mail from Gateway if we can not supply any item that you ordered.

RETURNING A DAMAGED ORDER

If you receive a damaged package, RETURN THE ENTIRE PACKAGE to Gateway Stamp. We will then file a claim with the United States Postal Service and replace the items immediately, unless they are SOLD OUT or OUT OF STOCK. You must make sure you return EVERYTHING that you received in the damaged package, including the outside package and packing, to Gateway in order to get replacement of order. You will need to send a signed and dated letter stating that received a damaged package. In the event we no longer have any of the items you ordered, you can either choose another item or wait until we get the refund from the Postal Service and we will then send you a refund for that item.

REFUND POLICY

Gateway offers a 30 day money back guarantee on all items purchased directly from Gateway Stamp Company. ANY Commemoratives returned MUST be in MINT condition with NO marks or autographs added just as you received the Commemorative.
